I believe the Big Book gives great directions for 4th Step

The Big Book, fondly named by those of us who got sober and stay sober in the program of Alcoholics Anonymous, has the best description of how to get honest, and stay honest with ourselves in Chapter 5 of Alcoholocs Anonymous. The treatment center that wrote these pamphlets puts out some good products, but I hope that newcomers would please come to a meeting, get a sponsor, and learn to live a program of honesty.

I really liked reading this booklet. It gave me an easy and better understanding on how to go about doing step four. It showed great examples of how this step should be done and made it to where the person should really think about each part of s step four.

When I first read this book, I couldn't put it down. It was definitely a page-turner. The book has many plots going on.

There were times when I cried and other times when I felt very angry about the injustice and discrimination Amina and the other characters faced in the story.

The book raises awareness on fraud, child abuse and discrimination against women.

One of the things I learned from this book was the importance of education and how it can affect our society.

I found this non-fictional account intriguing and quite eye-opener. In summary, it is very hard to put down, brilliantly written and I am very keen to read more by this author.

Drugs do not give us different minds. They do something to our minds to change our perspective of the world. Andrew Weil knows this; but so does any intelligent person who takes a mind altering substance with the goal of understand his or her own mind. Dr. Weil wrote this book when he was a young man traviling from the U.S. all the way down the Americas. His journey is to better understand how different cultures and people use pychoactive substances to change their lives. He begins with native americans in the Dakota's and finishes with tribesman in South America. Many of his observations are valuable, such as the role eclipses mankind's evolution; and many are questionable, such as the value of self-induced vomiting. Recommended for young person's and person's inexperienced with psychoactive substances who want a little education from a intelligent user. Many of us however might find Dr. Weil's first book -The Natural Mind- to be more enlightening.

Excellent Daily Lenten Reader

I was looking for daily reading for my lenten journey and purchased this in the Kindle version: I Have Heard The Cries Of My People - The Exodus for Lent Daily Devotions. The readings are explainations of readings in the Book of Exodus. The chapter and verses for the day are noted at the beginning of each day, but you have to have a bible to read the actual verses if you want that. The reading was enough for me. I found it an excellent morning prayer book for lent. I also purchased another Kindle lenten readings and found the combination just right for me. I would highly recommend this and I think you could use this any time of the year.

Very comprehensive devotional. Very well written. Easy to read. This is for Lent but can easily be used at other times of the year.
